Pulmonary Function Testing

Spirometry helps us understand why some people have persistent coughs or shortness of breath. We perform pulmonary function testing, not only to see if there is a problem, but to assess the severity and look at treatment options.

After an initial spirometry exam, we routinely give a breathing treatment and then perform a comparative study to determine the treatment's effectiveness.
